Radiator and towel radiator installation – what are the different types?

These are some of the different types of radiators we can install in houses for our domestic customers:

column-radiators

Column radiators

These feature a more traditional Victorian look, and they’re similar to double panel radiators.

vertical-radiators

Vertical radiators

A great space saving solution, installing vertical radiators is practical and they look stylish as well.

panel-radiators

Panel radiators

Your most typical style of radiator – you can also choose a double panel radiator, offering more power.

designer-radiators

Designer radiators

If you’re looking for something stylish in your bathroom, a unique designer radiator could be the answer.

Towel rail radiators for bathrooms

If you’re looking for a bathroom radiator, a towel rail is a great option, providing a convenient way to dry towels while also heating the room. There are two main types of towel rail:

  • Central heating system towel rails. The towel rail will be plumbed into your existing central heating system and will work as a normal bathroom radiator.
  • Dual fuel towel rails. The towel rail can be used as a normal radiator, as well as being used separately, thanks to an electric heating element.

Choosing your radiator material

You also need to consider the best radiator material to choose. Mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium are all popular and offer their own benefits. Cast iron radiators can be used to create a Victorian aesthetic, though they can take a while to heat up – you can choose a Victorian-style radiator in a modern material as an alternative.

When choosing the towel rail material, you will generally have a choice of chrome heated towel rails, stainless steel, and various other colours (white, cream and black are popular). If you choose the option of a more unique designer towel rail, these are available in a variety of styles and finishes.
